Allow active content to run from files on My Computer

I am using Macromedia's RoboHelp tool to author on-line help for a large
Windows application. RoboHelp uses IE as the viewer. It launches IE by
creating an HTM file in a temporary folder and then opening the HTM file. The
HTM file contains Java script. With XP SP2, this will only work if you check
the IE security setting "Allow active content to run from files on My
Computer". We are concerned that our customers will not accept this setting.
I found Knowledge Base article 884322 that recommends putting the HTM file in
a shared folder and defining the shared folder as a Trusted Site. I have
tried every combination I could think of, but none of them work. With the
"Allow" check box unchecked, IE always blocks the page. Any suggestions will
be greately appreciated.

Maybe a message on the HTML page explaining this. I know that you can
set individual browsers to accept active content from a local souce(
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced Tab -> Security)
