Hello,

I was wondering if its possible to allocate more memory to one o more users
under a terminal server connection.

Currently we have a terminal server (W2003) with citrix metaframe 3.0, we
have some users (35) that connect to a win32 app, there thing is that one of
the users launches some proccess that take a long time, we would like to
assign more memory to that user (the server has got 8 GB) . Also, by default
how much memory is that user getting?.

Many thanks,

regards,

Sebas

Is the server running Windows Server Enterprise Edition?
Does the application support addressing >2GB RAM?
How much RAM shows up in the System Contol Panel?

No, you can't selectively allocate more memory to specific users (that I
know of).

Yes, its running windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition, i guess i does
support addressing more that 2 GB (but i'm going to ask) and the memory shows
7.75 GB.

thx for your help

I was wondering if the application supports addressing large amounts of
memory, as I believe many apps only see 2GB RAM.

Users aren't allocated a specific amount of memory for applications, they
grab what's available. You may want to add more RAM if the app loads slowly,
or see if it does this when that person is the only one logged-on. It could
be disk I/O contention too. What kind of disks, configuration and controller?

I dont thinks its a disk problem , ist got a raid 10 with Scsi disks of
15.000 rpm.

And what i forgot to mention is that if you launch the proccess directly on
the server it goes much much faster.

Many thanks for your time
