Alligning text in navigation bars

I knew this once but can't remember. I created a website without a them but
borrowed navigation bars from a theme. The only problem is that I can not
align the text properly...it overlaps the design. The longer the word, the
worse. I have looked for an answer for weeks. Any and all advise is
appreciated.
 
Wrap you nav bar in a div tag
