Hi Group,

I cut the grill out of my case behind my PSU, and it eliminated lots of
noise, but now I have the noise of rushing wind coming from the back.

Is there a baffle or something else I can get to maybe disrupt the airflow?

Thanks,

Wendy

Careful; Lots of metal parts inside the PSU are at 120VAC and will
give anyone that puts a finger or a metal tool in the openings will
get a possibly fatal shock.

What kind of case do you have? There should be NOTHING behind the PSU to
cut out. I hope you aren't saying you modified the PSU itself. I don't
understand the question. There are ways to improve airflow AND quiet a
case, but if I read what you wrote correctly, it almost sounds like you have
a non-standard and/or defective case. -Dave

since you already cut off the grill and voided your warranty, replace the
PSU fan with something like a panaflo M1A or L1A (i'd use the M1A if the PSU
has temp control of the fan and L1A if it doesn't)
