I have a FACEID document for Word, for example, and many other
glitches that are happening in this new install of Windows 2000! This
file works on this OS as I have taken it to work.
I installed service pack 3 and thought that would fix things but
nothing. The macro worked for a while but now, again, nothing. It's
a macro that brings up 4 panes of FACEIDs. What is happening in this
installation is that after running the macro, I get just a blank page.
I searched around for another document of this type and found one but
it does the same thing. Macro security was changed to medium and
whenever prompted, I enable the macro. I don't see anything on the
screen but if I switch between documents, labelled Document1,
Document2, etc., the panes flicker into view for a fraction of a
second before disappearing.
I also have a launching freeware program that does bring up a start
window to launch programs from, but when a working entry is clicked
on, nothing happens. All these things worked for months/years in
Windows 98SE but are not working now. I know what is described is
hardly anything to go on, but hoping someone knows where I can hunt
around for a resolution to all this. I would still use my Windows
98SE if it weren't for the fact that 3 new programs I have won't work
in it and need minimum of Win2K!! I'm worried that this is what I've
found doesn't work but it might be a whole bunch of things down the
road that refuse to work and that's not right.
Thanks in advance for any help trying to get to the bottom of this.
