All Programs - Sort

Is it possible to have the shortcuts that point to folders/directories on the
"top" of the "All Programs" list. I do not like the default setting in VISTA
where the folders/directories are placed near the bottom and I have to scroll
down.

I know there is a sort in Properties, but that doesn't allow me to change
the ascending/descending property.

Any ideas???

Right click All Programs and select Explore All Users, when the window
opens, click the Programs folder. In the right pane, you will see all of the
folders and shortcuts displayed. Right click and create a new folder. Name
the folder Windows Programs.

Now, select all of those shortcuts and drag them into the new folder. Go
back to Start/All Programs to see the effect.

Thanks for the quick response. I attempted your suggestion and the results
are the same. I created two screenshots of my start menu to provide a better
understanding of what I am trying to accomplish.

The image found at the following URL shows the "Test Folder" with the
default VISTA sorting. You'll notice the folders are below the individual
shortcuts. URL: http://www.simplexdatasolutions.com/images/wrong_sort.jpg

The image found at this URL shows the sort order I am trying to achieve. I
was able to do this easily with XP. URL:

Only way I can find at this point is dragging the folders up to the top, one
at a time. Explorer should save the order you put them in.
