How do I create a new folder on the all programs menu and
then move programs into the folder? For example, I would
like to create a folder called accounting and move
Quicken and Quickbooks into that folder.

Thanks in advance to anyone for help!

R-click start, choose explore all users. On the left pane you will see the
various users names, each will have a start menu>programs folder. Open that
and you will be able to do what you want.

It can also be done in explorer.

Decide if you want the folder to be in a particular user's Start Menu or the
All Users' Start Menu. Now open My Computer, open the C: drive and navigate
to the folder for the Start Menus desired.

using windows explorer, open documents and settings, open
all users, open start menu, highlight programs, click on
file from menu bar, click on new, then folder, name new
folder. Now the easist thing to do is leave the programs
themselve where they are and put shortcuts the EXE files
to those programs there. If you try to move programs it
gets messy and they stop working. when windows installs
programs, there are alot of references to alot of
different locations for important operational files. when
you move these programs alot of the references change and
become no longer valid. If you really want the program
itself in that location, the safest thing to do is
uninstall the program, and reinstall telling set up to put
it in the location you want it. hpe this helps
