Had a XP home on a Dell machine for some time.
"All Programmes" is a mess and I'd like to group
software into 'folders'.
Ie a new folder called 'Utilities' into which I can move
all of those little utilities one aquires.
Created a new folder via Windows Explorer in 'Programme
Files' but it's not visible in "all programs" (visiible
from the Start button.)
Tried to install software into the 'Utilities' folder but
they 'disappear'!
Used to do this in '95' but maybe it's impossible in XP.
Being an old crusty, I'm short of hair and unless I get
some answer, I'll be bald!
Thanks

Hi Alec,

Create a folder called "Utilities" under this one:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

Place shortcuts to the programs installed to the Utilities folder into this
folder
