ALL of my ads are blocked - help

In internet explorer, all of my advertisements are blocked. Not just
pop ups, but even the in-page ads. For example, on cnn.com, any
advertisements are blocked. On excite.com, any advertisements are
blocked. I'm afraid I may have used an ad blocker that was too
extreme. Is there anything I can do to restore the on-page ads? I'd
prefer to have them back.

Did you look at your hosts file? See
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Or, are you behind a firewall?
 
May be caused by the security level. Click internet options, security, for
the internet zone select a security level of medium or lower or, click custom
and adjust the running of active X controls.
