Peter

I have Office 2002 with XP Prof. SP3.
I recently arrived at 2Gb with my pst file so had to do the cut (50gb) and
scanpst which all went well, however when complete whilst all my old calendar
entries were there, I cannot access or change them and new ones I add do not
appear.

I have also tried to delete the forms file as one blog suggested but no
difference.

HELP please

With so many users of Outlook why hasn't Microsoft sorted the 2Gb limit out
- it is a real problem as we receive many emailed large images and for us it
is a big problem. If Outlook was created by a small software house and was
inexpensive one could understand it's limitations, but from Microsoft it must
be red faces all round that they cannot sort this limitation.

So, create a new PST, make it your delivery location, and copy the items you
need to keep from the old PST to the new PST. It will clean things up a great
deal.

They have. With Outlook 2002 and earlier, simply use multiple PSTs, filing
your incoming mail in other PSTs or using AutoArchive. The 2GB limit is a
side-effect of the PST format and starting with Outlook 2003, Microsoft has
introduced a new PST format that can go the terabyte range. If you weren't
using a version of Outlook that is almost a decade old, you wouldn't be having
the problem.
