All my appointments prior to Jan 14 are gone?

My calendar is completely blank prior to Jan 14 2006, except for recurring
dates (birthdays, holidays, etc.)
 
Bummer. Is there a question?

Under file options, Auto Archive change the setting to how everlong you want
to keep the Events showing
 
Auto Archive is set for six months, but Jan 14 is only 2 months old. And if
it is archived, where would I find the archive?
