All lettering too thick?

After my child messed around with my settings, I had to disable the Magnifier
and On-Screen Keyboard. That's now fine, only all the lettering on my desktop
(names of shortcuts, words on gadgets, etc) and, as far as I can tell, in
other places too, is now marginally thicker than before. This is also the
case when I log on and "Welcome" is displayed. I've tried everything I can
think of, but with no difference. Can anyone suggest a solution? Many thanks.

Go back to the Control Panel>Ease of Access Center and disable everything
there. It sounds like that's where the kid was playing.

Thank you very much Malke - went through all the settings I could find: My
son had disabled ClearType by the looks of it. Problem solved :)

Glad that sorted it for you. Thanks for taking the time to post back.
