My father's son

Anyone know what this means and what can be done about it?

When I turn the unit on (even with it completely unconnected) it cycles
through its head cleaning cycle and then leaves all 3 lights flashing.
There is a mysterious message referring to it on Wellesley.edu telling users
to refer to their internal tech support WHEN this happens so it appears to
be a known problem AND appears that someone might know what to do about it

Anyone come across this or know where to find info on fixing it?

Im not familiar with that particular model, but some of
the Epsons do that when the "waste ink holder" is
calculated to be full.

If that is the case, you need to contact Epson support
and find out if it can be re-set. (some can, some cant).
Having Epson do it is cost-prohibitive.

I found this reset procedure from a previous post from Tony:

Whenever all three lightsblink like that it means the printer
thinks the waste ink pads have filled up. Here's what you
do to reset it:

Turn the power OFF. Press and hold the Load/Eject and Cleaning buttons
while you tun ON the power. Release both buttons when the Paper Out
LED is flashing. Press and hold the Cleaning button for at least 10 seconds.

Or download SSCServe, which gives you the means the reset the counter as
well as a few other tweaks. SSCServe also works for some Epson printers
that don't appear to have a 'button' method to reset the counter. Don't
forget that if you reset the cleaning cycle counter without changing the
waste ink pad, you might get excess ink flooding out of your printer
eventually...

And don't hold your breath waiting for a reply from Epson - I don't think I
have ever had one.

The only replies Ive ever had from Epson were when I
called them on the phone.. Usually they are NOT
forthcoming with any info you might need, if that info
would be helpfull.
