Assuming you've bought a PAL/SECAM (local version) of the AIW 9700 Pro it
should be listed under the Setup/Tv Tuner/Cable Standard option of MMC -
what do you currently have in there as options? Note that if you have a US
or Canadian sourced AIW it will likely only support NTSC and PAL M/N -this
means the tuner wont work in Italy and either you'd have to replace it or
use the composite/s-video input from a VCR etc. Do your aerial connectors
plug straight into the card?

Nothing, i can only choose a country...

No...The connector does not plug in the tuner but i've seen in a shop a
connector that should plug in perfectly...if i put these other connector do
you think i can see something or there is a difference of signal\frequency?!

You mention "nothing" but then "choose" - how can you choose if absolutely
nothing is there? Is the dropdown list empty?

Where was the card sourced from? If its an NTSC card (with a threaded aerial
connector) and you can return it for a refund or exchange with a PAL/SECAM
version, you should do that. Different countries use different TV Broadcast
formats (signals to use your word) and they're not all compatible with all
hardware. Have a look here for more info:
http://www.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Contrib/WorldTV/broadcast.html Italy uses PAL B/G
so a universal PAL/SECAM AIW card would be needed (not an NTSC card) to use
the onboard tuner - otherwise only the composite or s-video connectors could
be used.

Is that any help?

Sorry! There's only a list of Nations.

I think that this card should work because in some country of the list is
used Pal system. I'll try and i hope it'll work!
Is that any help?

Yes, thank you so much!

I understand NTSC models do support some South American countries that
use the PAL-M standard. Unfortunately, AFAIK this won't work with
other PAL standards. If this is what your options are showing then,
yes, you have an NTSC card. In that case, you'll have to skip the
tuner section of the setup (or let it run and not find anything) and
use composite or s-video input - most TVs, VCRs and cable/satellite
boxes will output composite or s-video.

Yes, thank you so much!

Is the United States one of the nations? If so then you have a North
American standard board, not a European standard board. You need a
European standard board.

Read what he said--there is more than one kind of PAL. The North American
board will support NTSC and PAL M/N. Note the "M/N". Italy uses PAL B/G
which is different from PAL M/N.
