Hi everyone,

Almost had my finger on the checkout button to buy an AIW 9600 Pro
when I found some posts here that indicated it had no DVI connector
and a quick double check on ATI's site confirmed this - no DVI! The
features/price of this card are just spot on for me (really want that
FM tuner and RW II!) but the lack of DVI-D output is a real problem as
I was planning to hook it up to my home cinema projector and DVI is
(unsurprisingly) far superior to analogue VGA. Does anyone in this
forum know:

1) Why have they not included DVI output on this card when all
the other new AIW cards have it!? Doesn't the hardware support this?

2) Is there a way around this by means of some hardware
hacking? The card has an unknown multi connector, maybe DVI signals
are present here?

As 3D performance is of lesser importance to me (than the tuner & RW
II) it seems foolish to pay more and get less (as it were) with the
AIW 9800 Pro...

Your comments/advice most appreciated...

I had the same issue. I ended up going with an ATI 9600XT and will be
getting a separate TV tuner board, most likely not by ATI.

The lack of DVI was a showstopper for me with regards to the AIW 9600
Pro.
