Hi,

I want to have a laptop with a all in one burner... cd-rw dvd+rw. Now I've
heard some nasty things.. people have often problems with these thingies...
ruining cd's damaged files.... etc... now I was wondering what are your
reviews..?

Thanks in advance, MI

Hardware in a laptop is always crap.
See, for a desktop PC you can for example buy a Plextor. I have one myself;
solid as a rock!! That's also one of the reasons why people by them, even if
they are expensive. Get used to the fact that laptop always cause problems.
I know, I have to deal with these problems with different brand laptops
every day!

Hi,
I've been using a Sager laptop since August with a Pioneer D106 DVD +/-
burner that I stuck in a USB/Firewire ADS housing. I've burned at least 30
disks with no problems. I can easily vouch for Pioneer or Plextor. They are
both excellent brands and produce reliable hardware.
