A clarification on my recent previous post about iSearch
toolbar in my IE browser. If I rt-click the toolbars
themselves, al my options are greyed out and there are no
options to 'lock the toolbars' etc...I simply cannot
remove them, reposition them or anything. I would really
appreciate any help.

Hi,

The following link should be useful as it contains instructions, as well as
a registry patch, which can be used to unlock your toolbars:

Resin,

iSearch seem to make entries to HOSTS file as well. Rename the file named "HOSTS" (without a file extension). This tip is from MVP Mike Burgess. The HOSTS file will be present in the following location:

Windows XP=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2K=C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Win 98\ME=C:\WINDOWS

Just rename the HOSTS file to OLDHOSTS and try the remaining part of the advice.

I am having the same problem as well, so I went to ...

http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/IEFAQ.htm#LockedBars

and I got the 404, Page can not be displayed error. I even tried www.mvps.org with the same results. Is this a temporary situation? Sure could use the patch/fix.
