Outlook 2003, Win XP.
When I open an appointment screen by clicking on that day, it automatically
defaults to an "All Day Event". How do I have it default to a start time-end
time (with the 1/2 hour graduations)?

When I click on New appointment, it does NOT default to "All Day Event".

You answered your own question. Appointments opened using the File->New or
clicking on the icon on the toolbar gives you a new appointment, which
defaults to your preferred time selection. Double clicking on the DAY gives
you an all day event.

To change the default appointment, change the time interval using the Day
view. Right click in the time interval column and select your preferred
interval.
