I have lately experiencing a very annoying trate with Outlook 2003 ( when
syncing between 2 PC and a PDA)where it randomly changes certain "All Day"
events to a 1:00 am to 1:00am appointment over 2 days... Or if it's a multi
day event, it cheanges it to hourly but add an exra day too !!!!

What could be causing this ??

yeah... I'm going to chech the PC at work today...but both laptop and PDA
are set the same..

One thing i did notice on my laptop "time /date" settings was I had ticked
the option to auto update the time whenever online...I have a feeling that
also may have something to do with it...

see how I go today though..thanks..

Well now I'm stumped !

All my computers (laptop, desktop, PDA) are on the same timezone, and all
set to auto update from daylight saving too !

Basically it looks like it's only doing it to a few of my "all day"
apointments...first week of April (maybe MS' idea of an April fools joke ?)

It just turn them into a hourly appointment, and moves them back one
hour...so they are all hanging over by one hour into the previous day now...
crazy !

cheers,
Hi-Soft

No, that was the previous DST standard in the USA and some other countries.

It sounds like you have not applied all DST patches or are using a
device/software for which the new DST definitions have not been made
available.

When the problem appointments are in the last 3 weeks of march into the 1st
week of april, one of the machines does not have the new DST definitions
installed. If the PDA is Windows-based, I'd check that first. It's my
understanding that the update doesn't always "take".
