All Contacts listed in Distribution List

Is there any way to prevent Outlook from listing/printing
all Contact Names & Addresses when using a Distribution
List? Our swim team now gets a page and a half of "To:"
listing before the body of the message.

If not, is there a work-around?

Inelegant, but it works. But what do large companies et
al. do? I've never seen this problem with messages sent,
for instance, To: All Employees.

If they use Outlook, that's what they do. Don't forget, companies have more
options with Outlook if they run against Exchange Server.
