Kelly

Currently on my computer I have four files which have been
contaminated with so called "NON-CLEANABLE" viruses.

Viruses:
1. TROJ PEPER.A
2. TROJ BISKOO.A
Files:
1.Bin9.exe
2.Gsdqx6.exe
3.Rfq78l13.exe
4.mscache.exe
I'm wondering what needs to be done to cure these viruses
and more than likely I will need a step by step procedure.

I also have a problem shutting down my computer. When I
tell my computer to shut down, restart, stand by, or log
off it takes about 2 minutes to figure out what I asked it
to do. What have I done? and what can be done to fix all of
this? please help, thank you.

I was also wondering if "McAfee security - Virus Scan
professional" is a good program or if a different virus
scan program would be better?

Tank you for all of your help!

I have McAfee, and it is fine, but I have heard it said that Norton is the
better AV program.

The Viruses are located in the C:\Windows\system32\

I was wondering if a format job was called for but I I
don't how to go about that if thats true.
Thanks for responding so quickly.

Kelly;
Reboot, disable all unnecessary applications including antivirus.
Then Scan For Viruses online using the link in my other post.

I've seen messages indicating that McAfee has a reputation for causing
computer problems. You might want to go with AVG, which is free, BUT
ONLY AFTER you've used Jupiter's recommended online scan to remove
your current problems. AVG can be downloaded at
http://www.grisoft.com.

Kelly, in addition to what others have posted -- those files most likely
are a part of the virus. They are not normal Windows files so they do not
need to be cleaned or repaired. They just need to be deleted!

Also, visit the website of your antivirus program. Look up the viruses
their program found in their online virus info area. If there are
additional removal steps mentioned that need to be done manually by you -
save or printout those directions. Then follow them.

Hi Kelly,

Run this small app and it will list where they are located. From there
delete them. First, end the process via Task Manager, remove the run keys
then any in the System32 folder.
