ok im all about fast boot times and have had xp for some
time now and as of the last few installs(new drives/hang
during defrag[would not boot at all afterwards]) alg.exe
application layer gateway yesi know what it is, takes a
considerable amount of time to load before i can do
anythingnever seemed to have any problems before, idon't
use ICF/ICS. is it safe to disable it in services? my rig
used to boot in like 20 seconds now it is almost a minute
due to this service(now i know a minute may not seem bad
to you but im used to a very fast boot) minded i could
restart my computer when it was running ME in like 30
seconds(shutdown to fully ready)
my specs
Windows XP Home
ASUS A7S333 w/512m DDR333
AMD ATHLON XP 2400+(stock speed)
80GB MAXTOR DMP 9(7200rpm)
40GB WD 7200rpm
main point is it safe to turn it off?
