This new post is a continuation of the Alexa post below.
I found the solution, thanks to Andy Manchesta. Thanks
Andy, and also my thanks to ChiefZeke - these good people
took the troulble to try to help.
THE SOLUTION: If you are using MS spyware and you also
want to have th Alexa toolbar you should proceed as
follows:
1. Download the Alexa toolbar and intall it.
2. When done you will see that it does not appear in
Internet Explorer, even though it is installed on your PC.
3. Go to IE and click on TOOLS, MANAGE ADD-ONS. Then
highlight anything that mentions ALEXA and tick the
ENABLE box, then OK.
4. Then reboot the PC and like magic the Alexa tool bar
will appear in Internet Explorer.
5. Whenever you do an MS spyware scan always ALLOW Alexa
if detected by the spyware.
