It's been discussed here before: on some systems, Vista keeps finding
and installing "new hardware", when there have been no hardware
changes or BIOS setting changes at all.
In my case (Packard Bell iMedia MC7060), it's always after the system
has been fully powered down.
I paid a little more attention this time, it detected the 'PCI to PCI
bridge', sound adapter and a third device that I didn't get a chance
to read because another window popped up in front of it.
I wonder if this constant detection of "new" hardware is going to have
an effect on activation some day.
