Alcatel speed touch USB modem

My new computer (running XP) does not detect my Alcatel speed touch USB
modem. Does anybody have the complete installation drivers (the installation
of the updates does not work).

I thought the updates available from
http://www.speedtouch.com/supuser.htm
were full sets that could be installed from scratch.
I assume you are aware that you have to install the drivers before you
connect the modem: do it the other way and it won't work.
