Has anybody tried this one? Banshee Screamer.

Yes, it is quite good BUT what I didn't like was that if it was set to
open daily it didn't close itself down on days when there were no
alarms set. I sent the author an email but didn't seem to get a reply.

Regards, John.

Sorry I didn't get that one! My address is (e-mail address removed)

Did you mean that it still played the alarm on days when the alarm wasn't
set, or that the program wouldn't close on days it wasn't set?

Hi Steve,
Sorry I didn't get that one! My address is (e-mail address removed)

Thanks. That is a different address than the one in the 2.54 help
file. I notice too that the home page link ;

http://www.student.math.uwaterloo.ca/~smhanov/alarm/index.html

isn't working today either.
Did you mean that it still played the alarm on days when the alarm wasn't
set, or that the program wouldn't close on days it wasn't set?

The latter. It was IMO rather annoying for it to stay resident (in the
tray) on days when there were no alarms set. I then had to manually
close it. Very tedious after a while.

The automatic start function worked fine BUT if it had started, found
no alarms set, and then closed itself, it would have been much better.

Not sure how to fix it but the ideal would be a setting to tick which
said "if auto-started and there are no set alarms close again".

Perhaps the auto startup string could have a "preferences" command
that is different than the standard manual activation ? Something like
alarm.exe cl ?

If that is impossible then a tick option something like "If no alarms
are set, and the program has been running for "x" minutes, close
automatically would be handy.

Hope the above is clear and it is of help. Thanks for your excellent
program and contributing to this thread. :-)

Regards, John.
