Anybody has successfully use AIWx1900 in Vista?
I could only start Vista in safe mode, and the system hung after the startup
logo.

AFAIK there has been no indication yet by ATI that they intend to provide a
software encoder package that will permit the tuner on AIW cards such as the
ATI X1900 to be used with Media Center on Vista.

I could installed Vista b5384 with minor difficulty, i.e. need to press F8 &
safe mode even during installation. After installation, I still need to use
safe mode to go into Vista. Otherwise, going to normal mode, the PC hung.
Any idea?

I suggest that you boot into safe mode and from there disable/uninstall the
TV tuner componend of your AIW card using device manager. Then reboot and
see if you can run Vista without the tuner component.

In fact I could not use the coming-with AIWx1900 CD driver for installation
so the tv tuner driver & software were not loaded. I tried to manually
'update' the driver (display driver only, not tv) by going to the driver
folder of the CD, but the result was same. I even tried to use Radeon x1900
driver, and the result was same - i.e. PC hung after the startup logo.

You need to get the Vista X1900 driver from the ATI Website your Windows XP
drivers from the CD will not work AFAIK.

In ati.com Vista webpage, there is no driver for any AIW card. Therefore I
have tried using Radeon x1900 from thereof but failed.

I know there is no VISTA driver for the AIW card what you do need is the ATI
driver for the X1900 graphics card so that you can use the graphics 1/2 of
the card without using the Tuner 1/2 of the card. Each part of the card has
its own driver.
