Hi All,
Any one running a aiw 8500 with a lcd widescreen off the dvi
connection? Hoes it working.... any problems??

Assuming you have the proper drivers for the lcd widescreen, it should not
be an issue. Don't expect stellar gaming performance on newer stuff running
high resolutions. There's 2 different 8500AIW cards as well...the 64Mb and
128Mb. The 64Mb version has 230/190 clockings. The 128Mb has 275/275 which
is what a full 8500 should be. That's quite a big difference.
 
Thanks for the info. It is the older card with 64 meg. This comp. is used
little and mostly as a TV. The monitor is on it's last leg. Was hoping to
free up a little desk space. Don't play many games on comp. anymore so
shouldn't be an issue. Most recent is unreal tourn 2004.

Used to run a 1366x768 projector off of one--worked fine.

If it is the retail ATI 64 meg it is clocked at 275 / 275. Actually the 64
meg retail was faster than the 128 meg version.
