AIW Captured Video

I captured some video in the ATI .vcr format. What's the best way to
convert it to AVI for editing?

..vcr => mpeg2 thru the library function
then another utility for mpeg2 => avi

or is there a better way?

ATI Media Library will convert to MPEG. Virtual Dub can do the rest from
what I've heard.
