At my comp

I would prefer to use the USB port on my Toshiba SDH400 to transfer
videos to my PC rather than slowly “dub” each one of them with my ATI
9700 PRO AIW. Is there a 3rd party program that can help, or would I
require the pay service just to do it?

Assuming that I can copy the files, would I need some program other than
DIVX or Media Player to play the videos?

Do ATI products have trouble "dubbing" videos from a TIVO?

Nero has some capabilities in video capturing also you could use ulead
video stuido 9. Those program use some feature inclure in the vivo and
aiw card. Somthing like dxva Witch releaf the cpu load by 30 tp 50%
when encoding and decoding.

But to make it strait just plug your usb connector and use one of the
program above... try nore first.

Google "Tivo hacking". A Tivo is a Linux box and Tivo tends to either
ignore or encourage hacking--some of the better hacks get rolled into the
next release of their OS. It's possible to configure it to allow direct
file extraction over the network.
