i bought a new aiw 9800 pro because my mulimedia pc has an aiw 8500dv
(connected to home theatre system/big screen tv via component video adapter)
.... i want it to have multimonitor support (lcd and tv via component video
adapter) ati's faq state thats only possible for 9700 series... but i am
almost certain the 9800 will do it as well (i think the faq was written pre
9800) but anyway i want my main pc to have the aiw 9800 pro (currently has
aiw9700 pro) and i want to put my aiw 9700 pro in my multimedia pc... both
pc's my main and my multimedia pc have cat 3.8's intalled my question is can
i simply swap out the cards and will the os (win xp on both) detect the
change and install the proper drivers. dont want to run into any issues if i
dont have to so just checking before i delve into it.. (not much time with
the holidays coming up) so want it to be as fast and as painless ans
possible otherwise i may put it off

Thanks for any info on this subject

I suggest removing the drivers, swapping cards, re-installing drivers!

A bit more clean method and it should go fine, Ati swappen with Ati
should not give any problem...
