AIW 7500 - poor quality on upper cable stations?

Has anyone ever had an issue where upper regular cable stations come
thru with a very poor quality - like washover from other stations?
But it only happens on the upper stations - my tv and another tuner
card look fine, its just the all in wonder thats having this problem.
There is definitely another station ghosting over top. I've tried
different cables, cable straight in from the port to the floor (no
splitter) i've tried a powered splitter that is supposed to boost the
signals...but nothing - anyone ever seen this before? TIA....
 
Check the broadcast signal type the mmc is supposed to decode
=> control panel : PAL(x), NTSC(x).
 
Yes .... tuning is controlled by the drivers, and some early versions of
the drivers mis-tuned some stations, a few low stations and many upper
stations.

thanks for the suggestion about drivers - it still aint perfect but I
messed around with various drivers and got it looking a lot
better...bit of washover but its watchable now :-)
 
I have not had any problems with this in a LONG time (5 years?). It was
bad for a while, but eventually they got it fixed, and "eventually" was
a LONG time ago.
