In one of the replies to my post the term 'aircode' was used. Does this
term aircode mean an untested code? If not, what does 'aircode' mean? I'm
sure many would have liked to asked this question.

Dear GDW:

That's correct... aircode is untested code which is created on the spot, as
in "pulled out of the air".
