I just had a customer send me a 6.6 m file in .aiff format that they want me
to put as a download on their website. I am not familiar with the .aiff
format. Do I need to convert it to something else, or will it work as is?

Thanks,
Kelley

Ok....i went to that article.....

I am looking for more specific help in regards to frontpage. Has anyone
used this format with frontpage2003? Is it better for me to convert it to
another format? And would I simply upload the file to my site, and then just
put a button in my frontpage site that goes directly to that file?

Thank you in advance.

The files you have are for MAC.
Google for: convert AIFF

Download or streaming audio? For a download, just provide a link. You might
also have the ISP set up the MIME type for AIFF, if you have any problems.
When a person clicks the file, they will be asked if they want to run or
download, like a typical non-web file.

If you need to stream, you might have to convert to another audio format,
depending on the setup of your site. It is common to offer both windows
media and something like real or quicktime.

Cowboy,
What is the best way to convert the AIFF file to a quicktime file or a wav
file?

Thanks!
Kelley

Quicktime will open a AIFF
