ok... a week ago, I had to do a nondestructive system
restore. It wiped everything it was supposed to. But
here is the problem. I had to recreate my user, which I
used the same name as last time, Josh, unfortunately it
put all my data into an owner folder pictures any new
files I download etc, (c:documnetsandsettings/owner) and
will not give me any access to the folder to retrieve my
stuff. It acts as if I'm not a computer administrator
and I set my account up to be one. I tried renaming my
self owner, and that worked for a day, but then it made a
new folder owner_2 and that's what I have access to now.
So I'm back to square one, and everytime I download
anything I can't have access to it. Please somebody
help, email me, put the subject as USERHELP JOSH! so I
don't delete it. Thanks so very much

XP doesn't use the old Name/Password athenticatation like Win 9x did.
Instead, each time you create a new account, regardless of the name you
use, it generates new SID ( Serurity I.D. ) with which XP identifies you.

Goto Help and Support and type Ownership to learn how to take back your
files.
