Age of the empires II - Quits while playing

when my son plays AOEII the game quits and he has to start the game again and
is unable to record his last entry. the game seens to quit after 10 minutes.
We had unistall the game once but the problem persist. Can somebody advice us
on what to do, Please?

How does the game "quit" exactly? Does it simply disappear, does it come up
with an error message, or does Windows report it had to close it?

Few troubleshooting tips:

1) Close any other background applications such as anti-virus etc.
2) Make sure you've got the latest update (2.0a) which can be downloaded
from; http://www.microsoft.com/games/age2/downloads.htm
3) A lot of older games require full administrative rights to function
properly, make sure you're playing under an account with admin rights, to
check to go Control Panel / Users it will either say Computer Administrator
or Limited users below the account name.
