Age Of Mythology: Gold Edition cd-key problem

Hello all

i own a copy of age of mythology: gold edition what has many problems with
the cd keys! i found a thread telling me to goto ubisoft because they give
out new cd keys to the users who bought the gold edition because none of the
cd-keys you get are unique therfor i cannot connect online. i sent a question
to ubisoft saying.

"Hi,
I own a copy of Ubisoft Exclusive: Age of Mythology Gold Edition, but I have
a problem. The problem with both games is that the CD key cannot be properly
validated when I attempt to play a multiplayer game online. I know that many
copies of this game have been distributed, all with the same exact CD key. As
you already know, the same CD key may not be used by two players at once.
Therefore, this problem renders me unable to play a game online, because I
have the same CD key as everybody else.

I would like to request new, unique CD keys, both for Age of Mythology and
Age of Mythology: The Titans. If you require any additional information for
validation purposes, such as pictures or serial numbers, I will gladly send
them to you.

Unfortunately Ubisoft does not hold the License for the Online part of the
game only the Single player part of the game.

The online License is held by Microsoft.

We would like to suggest that you contact Microsoft for a online cd key.

i told them that i found out that they have been giving users new cd keys, i
have tryed to find the support page for AOM gold edition but it doesnt seem
to want to let me send an e-mail and now i am getting really annoyed because
i have bought a game what essinsialy does NOT work fully.

i sent this back to them
"i have found out via the net that you have given alot of other customers
new CD keys for the two games, i bought this game to go online and i cannot
because of a cd key messup, also the microsoft contact site will only let me
pick age of empires 3 and not age of mythlogy. i bought this copy online as
well so i only have the box an no recipt.

also it says on the box contact ubisoft so if you can try and sort out this
problem for me that would be great because i have another 2-3 mates who have
the exact same problem as me.

here are my CD keys just so you can see that they are broken

AOM: cd key here
AOMT: cd key here

i would really appriciate it if you guys can fix this problem for me.

When Ubisoft first re-released the game, we were given an certain amount of
online cd keys from Microsoft.

Unfortunately we no longer have any online cd keys, that is the reason you
need to contact Microsoft on this.

so at first they lied to me saying they only have rights to the single
player part then they try and fob me off by sending me here where the game
doesnt even have a friggin support page for the game.

so if any one knows how to fix this please please please let me know so i
can get my CD-keys what work all of the time.

Yeah, contact Microsoft.

Ubisoft tells you to contact Microsoft and you ignore them.

Here's a link to one of the FAQ's about product keys, if you follow all
the steps it takes you to contact MS tech support, they will probably
charge you for a key.

I've worked tech support in games, we never gave CD-Keys over the phone
or email, usually if you needed a new key you had to send in your
original game to warranty and we'd send you a new copy of the game. Most
software companies won't give out that stuff just on your say-so. Too
many liars out there I guess.

Final word of advice, get a spell checker for your email program and USE
IT.

us so i did then i says pick a product so i searcvhed for AOM gold edition it
pops up so i click it then it takes me mack to please pick a product again
giving me no option to even speak with ms thats y i have posted on here

Cost is $29 per call for microsoft tech support, easier/cheaper to just buy
another copy of the game.
