Hi Patriot,
The problem with Demo versions of those games is that you miss out
on the Tutorials / Campaigns in the full versions that explain game play.
You can compensate by visiting this site, and looking through their
FAQ's and Tutorials for AOE 3:

|I got it to work. The smoke trails from the muskets are amazing and so
| detailed. It is entertaining. I just wish that I could have saved it. The
| first sandbox game I have ever played and I did not know about the left click
| / right click command. Simple, but can the musket men be moved as a unit or
| only one at a time?
