Age of Empires 2 - Lan Connection Bug

The lan connection TCP/IP mode in Age of Empires 2 does not work with Windows
Vista. What changed here that could be preventing this from working?

I have tried disabling Windows Firewall, giving rights in windows firewall
to AOE, and disabling user account control.
