After update - Network cable unplugged

It seems that after installing the April updates, when I insert a wireless
PCMCIA card it comes up with and stays that way. But I am connected.

If I then go into Net Neighborhood to the properties of that connection and
uncheck 'Show icon in Taskbar when connected' click ok and then go back and
turn it on again, then it shows me the bubble with the connection speed and
the red X is gone

Anybody else see this?

Yes. It was gone after I re-installed the driver.

Happened with Cisco PCM350 Airnet card. Really pissed me off because
when I went to the Cisco website to get the latest driver, after
navigating many screens and promising to never send it to china, they
told me I couldn't have the driver because I didn't have a cisco ID.
Their support people in an email response said it's a known
problem.....I reinstalled the old driver.
