After Update error

Hi,

I keep getting an error message with absolutely no meaning
whatsoever, to me.

Here is the error message. It pops up every time I update
the selection in a combo box on an Access 2000 form.

"The expression After Update you entered as the event
property setting produced the following error: A problem
occurred while Microsoft Access was communicating with the
OLE server or ActiveX control."

Like what?????

The combo box is a finder-type box that looks up records
for the rest of the form. The thing is I have 5 or
6 "finder" combo boxes working on other forms, but two
others refusing to work.

Anyone encountered this error befor, and can recommend a
solution??

cheers

Hi,

I suspect it is a kind of circular after-update loop protection... (a
changes b that changes a ...) . You can probably "debug" your code line by
line to see which line in the After Update generates the problem? What is
the last line executed correctly and entering into which one you get the
error (if there is any such line) ?

Hoping it may help,
