Hello... I just bought another pc (pentium 4 compaq) from a local charity
(computers for schools).. It was wiped clean and came with the boot disk for
windows xp professional...
All installed ok.. went to microsoft and allowed it to update, installed all
updates successfully... then I got to Service Pack 2... once it is installed
all heck breaks loose.... once installed, I reboot... when it comes on it
boots to 4 bit color only... there is no choice of any other color or
resolution... I am using a NEC Multisync 17" lcd monitor.... If I do a system
restore and go back to before Service Pack 2 is installed, then all is
well.... can somebody help me?
thanks
