After selecting My Pictures folder, IE6 has problem & shuts down.

Why would Internet Explorer have anything to do with "My
Pictures Folder is beyond me. I have already performed a
complete restore on my PC due to the Windows SP2 update.
After this problem, I uninstalled it. I also uninstalled
MS Picture It. I used Picture It to change file types
from grabbed photo frames out of Nero. Anyway, after
uninstalling SP2 and Microsoft Picture It; after
installing Windows Updates (No SP2) and doing a complete
virus check, I still cannot go into most of MY Picture
files without Internet Explorer telling me it has
encountered problems and has to shut the "My Pictures"
program down. What program runs "My Pictures" or is it
the viewer option that has a problem. Please HElp! Any
help would certainly be appreciated.

My Pictures is related to Picture It (when installed) which is intertwined
with IE like most all of Windows is. Are you using IE to view your pictures?
SP2 is buggy as you realized and may have left some trouble behind when you
uninstalled it. For a viewer/player for nearly anything, get Irfanview. It's
the best free app on the internet. www.irfanview.com
