Hi everybody,
When I reply to an e-mail, is it possible that the original e-mail can be
deleted automatically as I no longer need it.
I am open the a VBA solution if necessary.
Many thanks,
Céline

If you are using Outlook 2007 this should work. It may work for previous versions as well.
Make sure you are in your In Box
Select the Tools Menu and select options
Click on the Send Tab
Uncheck Save copy of sent messages in the 'Sent Items' folder.
Click on Apply and then the OK buttons

My previous post was for Outlook Express, This is for Outlook 2007, Sorry,
Select Tools and click options
Under the Preferences Tab, click on E-mail Options button
Uncheck the box in front of Save Copies of messages in Sent Items Folder
Click OK and then Click OK again.

That should work for Outlook 2007 and possible 2003.

Hi Jason,
Thank you for your answer. But it is not what I am looking for. Actually I
want the contrary.
I want Outlook to save copies of message in Sent Items Folder.
It is the message in the Inbox, after I reply, that I would like to be
automatically deleted.
I don't need it because the answer, in the Sent Items Folder, contains the
text of the message in the Inbox.
So my question is still open.
Have a good day,
Céline

I don't see how that answers the original question at all. She didn't say
she wanted to delete the outgling message, she said she wanted to delete the
original message to which she's replying.
