I open up IE6. Go to the home page. Click around, or type
in a URL, whatever... after opening maybe a dozen pages,
it won't open up any more. The indicator at the bottom of
the page doesn't even start to go and hang. Once it's
happened, I can close all instances of IE and open it
again, but after loading a few pages, it will stop again.
It doesn't have anything to do with the actual websites
I'm going to, I've tried a variety and it happens no
matter what. Also we have many computers hooked up to the
same DSL and none of them have the problem.

Any ideas?

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

I have done ad-aware. I suppose I could have mentioned
that earlier. Any other ideas?
