after minimizing a paused game

After minimizing a paused game to the taskbar, continuous writing-to-disk
occurs. Why is that happening and how do i stop the continuous
writing-to-disk?

Hello,

It is most probably due to low RAM. If you hit Ctrl+Shift+Esc, you will see
the Task Manager.

Under Performance tab, your Available RAM is most likely under 100000 hence
Windows XP is using your hard disk as RAM which results in the continuous
writing-to-disk event. Games take up lots of RAM when they run.

To work around this, increase your RAM of your PC by bringing it to a
qualified PC technician. You can also perform the upgrade yourself if you
have done PC upgrades before.

The game was not running. It was "paused".

I have 1.5 gigs of installed memory.

If I intentionally minimize a "paused" game to the task bar, I am certainly
not doing a "save".
