After installing service pack2

I am runnig an early version of xp home edition upgrade. this is a new build
(ESC sli extreme MOBO AMD 3700+ 1gig ddr400 2 MSI 6800 vid I can only start
in safe mode after I install service pak2. Do I really need it. If so what
do I do now. (I have built 4 sistems and always seem to figure things out but
have "NO" formal traning in computers)

Uninstall SP2 and then remove all spyware from the system. After one of the
proper sites has pronounced your HijackThis log clean reinstall SP2.
