After installing IE7, I get a Security Warning when I try to open a file
(particularly MS Access files) on a shared network folder. (the file opens
OK on the source folder on the local drive- just not in the Network
Neighborhood Share). When I click Open Anyway, I get a message "Microsoft
cannot open this file", and closes. Obviously, this problem precludes
accessing the file over a peer to peer network.
I didn't have this problem before I installed IE7. When I uninstalled IE7
and reinstalled IE6 the problem disappeared. But I'd like to reinstall 7 if
there is a fix for this.
As an aside, this is the same error messages as when you send a file over
the
internet and a "block" is added. You get the security warning unless you
"Unblock" the file, in its "Properties" setting. But with IE7, the file to
be opened doesn't have an "Unblock" option in properties.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
