I recently formated my hard drive, copied "my documents"
back onto the computer. Downloaded the powerpoint viewer
again. Now every time I open a powerpoint file that had
been saved before the format, it does not open the
presentation automatically. I have to click off 4 little
boxes saying,
first; Powerpoint Viewer can't read files\downloaded.
second; Powerpoint viewer can't read programs.
third; Powerpoint viewer can't read from.
fourth; Powerpoint viewer can't read
internet\PPVIEW32.EXE.

After clicking through these boxes the presentation
starts.
Can anybody help me get it back as it used to be.

The file you downloaded is a program that installs the viewer, not the
viewer itself.
Did you run the installer after downloading it?
Sorry if that sounds like a stupid question, but it's a common mistake.

Are Windows and your programs installed on a different hard drive than your
other files?
In other words, did you reformat the whole megillah, reinstall Windows and
so on?
