After DriveImage: Missing notification area icons

Hosh

Hope someone has a fix for this.
I recently moved the entire contents of my 30 gig hard drive to a 160 gig
drive using Drive Image 7. I have been using other versions of drive image
for years without problems. This time though, when I boot the system with
the new drive, some or all of the icons in the notification area do not show
up. This does not happen every single time. Nor does there seem to be any
rhyme or reason for which icons, if any, display.

Hopefully, someone has experience with this even if not familiar with Drive
Image. Perhaps there are some general troubleshooting procedures for the
notification area that someone could point me to.

Thanks in advance!

right click on the notification area, properties, clear hide inactive icons
or click customise.

Thanks David, but I've already been through all that.
Also, as I indicated, the condition occurs sporadically, unpredictably or
sometimes not at all.

This usually happens because you have UPNP active. If you go to www.grc.com
and download upnp.exe and use it, the program is just a toggle type to turn
UPNP on or off as you like. Turning it off and rebooting clears that
problem.
